嗨!我是Eliza。說真的，我超不會寫心得文的阿!而且我一直覺得這種心得文看起來就像廣告文對吧!不過，我保證這絕對是真人真事，完全是我在CIA生活的真實體驗。
First, let's talk about the environment of CIA. If you had browsed the information about CIA, you'll know there is a swimming pool. Actually, there really is a swimming pool, but it looks not so big as the picture. Except the swimming pool, overall the environment of CIA is good. We have clean and bright rooms and soft beds. And the room cleaning once a week; laundry twice a week.
首先，來談談CIA的環境吧!如果你曾經看過CIA的資料，你應該會對於那個看起來清涼有勁的游泳池很有印象，不過，事實上它就只是個小池子。但是除此之外，學校整體環境還是挺不賴的，房間很乾淨而且明亮，床也很軟很好睡。學校亦安排專人打掃房間，一周一次；髒衣服送洗則是一周兩次。
Second, let me tell you about the teachers. I can't promise all teacher don't have special speech or accent, but you should know two things. One of those things is unless you are a pure American, otherwise everyone has unique speech for more or less. One thing you only can do is adjusting yourself. If you feel your teacher have special speech, you can change your teacher. Fortunately, My teachers didn't have special speech and accent. Another thing you have to know is that we use the KK Phonetic Alphabet in Taiwan, but in other countries they use the International Phonetic Alphabet. There are some differences between the two Phonetic Alphabet, so you have to get used and adjust.
再來，我打算談論師資。我不能說「每位老師都沒有口音」，但是你必須知道兩件事：第一件事，除非你是天生美國人，不然一定會有口音，只是多或少而已，所以你必須去習慣，不過我遇到的老師發音都很標準，如果你覺得老師口音太重，你可以更換老師；第二件事，在台灣我們用KK音標，但在這裡使用的是國際音標，所以有些發音會跟在台灣所學的不太一樣，所以你要學會調整自己去適應。
In my case, I only stayed for one month, so my teachers didn't ask me to buy some books. One of my teachers, she arranged a schedule about speaking, reading, writing, activity, everyday I had diverse classes. And my favor is speaking class, in the speaking class, we talked about the food, weathers, policy, religion, cultures, educations, travels...etc. Everything I want to talk, she always chat with me very patiently. My another teacher geared up a series of courses about find a job, it was from how to prepare a resume until to set up a interview rehearsal. I think it' very useful and helpful, even though it made me feel a lot of stresses. In fact, I never though that I can finish a resume in English, but I did and I was hired in that interview rehearsal. Although, it was not a real interview, but it made me feel more confident. Besides, my teacher also teach me about the grammar and tips for test. I regret that I only stayed for one month, but my teachers' teaching and encouragement made me feel confident of my English skills.Although I can not speak with fervor and assurance, at least my daily basic dialogue is fluent. I can use English in the telephone to contact with travel agencies confirmed itinerary.
以我個人來說，由於我只進修一個月，所以我的老師們並沒有要求我買教材，他們為我安排不一樣的課程；其中一位老師她每天安排不同的課程內容，有說話課、閱讀課、寫作課以及活動課。我最喜歡說話課，說話課的時候我們就盡情聊天，聊食物、天氣、政治、信仰、文化、教育、觀光…等等，任何我想聊的事，她都會很有耐心的陪我聊而且給我解答。我另一位老師則是安排一系列有關求職的課程，從如何準備英文履歷表到安排一場面試(由其他老師擔任面試官)，我認為這是很有用也很有幫助的課程，縱使它令我倍感壓力。事實上，我從不覺得自己可以寫出英文履歷表，但我真的做到了。另外，雖然那場面試只是場預演，不過我從中獲得很多自信。除此之外，老師也很認真的教我文法以及考試得分的小技巧。我很遺憾我只待了短短一個月，但是老師們給我的教導和鼓勵，讓我對我的英文能力充滿自信，雖然沒辦法做到侃侃而談，但是起碼基本對話是流利的。我甚至還用英文與旅行社電話聯繫確認行程呢！
The third thing I want to talk about the interpersonal relationship. Overseas Taiwanese always in unity, and CIA's Taiwan student manager Simon is a nice person, he always take care of Taiwan students. He often invite many Taiwan students to eat dinner in various delicious restaurants. And sometimes he will plan a trip to nearly island, you can join it and you will get a lot of funs. Absolutely, you can meet plenty of Taiwanese and make friends. So except the Taiwanese friends, who will be your friends? I think the first and best friends are your man to man teachers, because you get along with each other for a long time. Second, your friends maybe your roommates, batch mates, class mats...etc. But the most important thing is you have to respect different cultures and open your mind, then you will make many foreign friends.
要談的第三件事就是人際關係。我覺得在海外的台灣人總是很團結，而且CIA有個很好的台灣學生經理--Simon，他對我們總是非常照顧，常常揪團去美味的餐廳吃晚餐，而且他也常揪團去附近的小島玩，聽說超好玩的(可惜我沒參加到)。當然，在這裡你絕對可以認識和結交到許多台灣朋友。但是，除此之外，你要怎麼結交到外國朋友呢？我認為最先認識而且會是你最好朋友的絕對是你一對一老師，因為你們幾乎每天都會單獨相處一小時呀！所以老師們會是你最熟悉的朋友。其次，你的室友、同期同學、同班同學也都有可能成為你的朋友，只要你打開你的心並且尊重不同國家的文化，我相信你可以結交到許多外國朋友的。
Of course, I decided to study English in the Philippines except the cheap expenses. The important reason is I can spend all my holidays on those beautiful islands or islets. There are many islands and islets near Cebu wait for you to visit. They have the same scenery that are white sand beach, limpid sea, and very blue sky and white clouds which are within your reach. You can through the travel agencies to arrange your trip, you can plan the trip by yourself, you can do a Cebu city tour, or you can go to shop in every mall. The foregoing are what you can do on the weekends, but above all there is one thing you have to do. That's to pass your daily test, if you want a happy weekend.
當然，我選擇來到菲律賓學英文，除了便宜的學費外，另一個目的就是「度假」。宿霧附近就有很多很多小島等著你去拜訪，這些小島共通點就是美麗的白沙灘和清澈見底的蔚藍海洋與彷彿觸手可及的藍天白雲。你可以透過旅行社幫你安排緊湊精采的行程；也可以自己規劃旅遊景點；或者是在宿霧市區進行古蹟觀光；甚至是瘋狂流連在市區內的各大商場血拼。這些都是你在周末可以做的事情，但前提是你得完成你學生的本分，通過「每日測驗」才可享有快樂的周末時光。
