2011/10/23，我和CIA語言學校的朋友拜訪了馬坦島(Mactan)的Shangri-La’s度假飯店。馬坦這個小島就在宿霧島(Cebu)的旁邊，兩島由馬坦跨海大橋(Mandaue-Mactan Bridge)連接，而宿霧國際機場就座落於馬坦島上。
I visited Shangri-La’s Resort on Mactan Island with my friends from CIA Language School last Oct. 23th, 2011. Mactan Island is beside Cebu Island, and two islands connect with each other by Mandaue-Mactan Bridge.
馬坦島上有許多著名的海灘度假飯店，Shangri-La’s就是其中最有名的一間，這間五星級的飯店一晚最少要價300美金，我這個窮學生可是住不起，幸好他們也有開放給一般旅客來這裡一日遊，給了我們朝聖的機會。
There are many beach resorts on Mactan Island; Shangri-La’s is the most famous one. It takes at least 300 dollars to stay in this 5-stars hotel for one night. It’s very expensive for a poor student like me, however, it is open to public tourists to go there and have a day tour. It gives us a chance to visit this beautiful resort.
那時候我非常期待這個Shangri-La’s一日遊，那是我在菲律賓讀語言學校時第一次來到這裡的海灘。這個一日行程包含自助餐午餐並搭配許多海上活動，如水上摩托車、拖曳傘、潛水等等，我們選擇的是浮潛，七人同行價2730披索。
I was looking forward with the Shangri-La’s day tour at that time. It was my first time to go to the beach when I studied at an English academy in the Philippines. The day tour package includes lunch buffet and one of alternative water activities, such as jet-ski, parachute or scuba diving. We chose the Snorkeling Package. It costs 2730 pesos since we were 7 people who went there together.
我們一開始就到海灘玩水，老實說這個沙灘的砂質沒有很細緻，但是潔白的沙灘配上清澈的海水讓人感覺清涼舒暢，許多小魚就游在沙灘旁，一點都不怕人。
We went to the beach at first. Honestly, the sand of this beach is not so fine; however, this white beach and clean water make people feel cool and comfortable. There is a lot of fish which is not afraid of human swimming just by the beach.
中午我們就在飯店享用自助式的午餐，由於Shangri-La’s的老闆是日本人，所以供應的餐點以日式和菲律賓料理為主，我幾乎試了每一項餐點，吃到整個撐翻了。
We had lunch buffet there. Because the owner of Shangri-La is Japanese, most of the food served is Japanese and Pilipino cuisine. I was so full because I tried almost every dish.
午餐過後稍作休息，便開始我們的浮潛行程。小船帶我們到比較外海的珊瑚區，帶上浮潛用具就這樣跳下水了。相較於我之後的浮潛經驗這裡真的比較沒有什麼，不過畢竟這是我第一次在這裡的浮潛，我當時感覺好極了，許多小魚穿梭在身邊，還有一些美麗的珊瑚。
We started our snorkeling tour after lunch. The boat took us to the outer area where the corals are. Compare to the experiences I had later, it was not so wonderful snorkeling there. After all, it was my first time to go snorkeling in the Philippines, I felt so great at that time. There are some beautiful corals and a lot of fish swimming around us.
如果不喜歡在鹹海水中游泳的朋友，可以選擇在游泳池中戲水，Shangri-La’s的泳池非常寬敞舒適，由淺到深適合各個年齡層的遊客。浮潛過後我們便在這裡休憩，在這個炎熱的國家裡，沒有什麼事比泡在水中還棒的。
If you don’t like swimming in salty water, you can go to the swimming pool and swim in it. The pool in Shangri-La is very big and cozy. From shallow to deep, it’s suitable for customers of all ages. We took rest there after snorkeling. Nothing is better than soaking in the water in a hot country.
