CIA is an abbreviation of Cebu International Academy. There are lots of academies in Cebu, but I think CIA is one of the best even though I didn’t visit the others. I feel like at home or comfortable in CIA, especially that there is a Taiwanese manager named Simon. He always takes care of his countryman, Taiwanese students and helps them dealing with lots of things like livelihood and school works. Because of him, we are enjoying our life in CIA
When I arrived in CIA, I felt excited. There is only one school building, swimming pool, dining room, dormitory, and laundry. The environment is very convenient. I don’t need to worry about my daily lives. I only need to care about my English lessons. There are lots of polices controlling the students to avoid them from being lazy and protect them from danger. Teachers are kind and humorous, but they are strict in the classes. They use different strategies to teach different students not only Taiwanese but also Korean and Japanese students. They try to spur on us to do our tasks. They hope we can improve ourselves about the lessons. “Keep good man in your company and you shall be the number.” I think the teachers in CIA are very good.
Aside from school life, we have a lot of fun in the weekends, like snorkeling, fishing, playing volleyball in the sea, swimming with whale sharks, and jumping into the river from the border. These are treasurable memories and tremendous experiences for me. I met a lot of foreigner friends and learned different cultures most especially I learned different skills in English when talking with them. We will keep in touch forever.
Moreover, CIA is a sight worthy academy. If my friends want to choose an academy in Cebu, I recommend CIA as the best choice. You can not only learn English skills but also experience Filipino culture in Cebu. Anyway, I love it.
